Bea is her name to honor her late father. Aisling O'Sullivan, whose real name is as Cliodhnadh Aisling was born in Kildare town, which is located in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian was an equine vet who committed suicide when she was only three years old. Bea didn't learn how the death of her father occurred until she turned thirteen. The stage name she chose was Bea in honor of her late father. Bea also wrote an article published in The Guardian on her family's death experience. Bea, along with her younger sister Sinead and her sister Sinead, were brought up with Helen Moloney (n e Moloney) an ex-jockey and teacher at a secondary-school. The family was fascinated by racing and horses. Bea was a guide for The Irish National Stud in her early years. But she was aware, that racing wasn't what she wanted to pursue as a profession and preferred performing.
